ABOUT
A descendant of Gaugin, Brisson is often compared to French masters Matisse and Degas for his paper cut-outs and collage techniques. From Classicism to Impressionism to Fauvism, Brisson refines textures and movements with his powerful brushstrokes. He paints, cuts, scraps and glues to create multi-layered works evoking the passage of time in a continual meditative process of excavation. His works are featured in numerous museums and prestigious collections from Europe, to Asia and the United States.

THE DANCE OF LIFE
Pierre Marie Brisson's exploration of dance relates to the evolution of ritual and pleasure, one of man's earliest expressions of freedom, connection, and intimacy. Culminating in Matisse's Arcadian, Brisson states: "We realize that since the beginning of mankind, people have danced, and that since primitive times, human beings have found the best way to express their joy through dance.

PUNCTUM
